Chemical Attack to Timber

We were called to a timber and damp survey in Glasgow after concern over isolated rot was expressed to this section in the middle of the floor in an empty house. This actually appears to be some sort of chemical attack to timber and all areas around were sound and dry. The source was gone but you can just about make out the liquid stain where a tin of something nasty had been sitting! Replacement of damaged floorboards would be adequate.
