A cautionary tale – “If you think a professional is expensive – wait until you hire an amateur”
We were asked by a landlord a few months ago to inspect dampness within a ground floor flat, diagnosed rising damp and provided a specification and cost of repair with a 20 year guarantee. He then told us he “knew a guy” who could do the work for him cheaper. Fair do’s 🤷♂️.
Unfortunately, he had to call on our services again when the damp issue returned.
Would you believe that a polythene bag over the old plaster with some render mesh and a skim coat didn’t solve the problem???
We gave him the same advice, same spec, same price and peace of mind for 20 years from one of our Approved Specialist Contractors.
